Fire and Ice
I did some cooking yesterday. The ingredients were:
6 beautiful fire dancers
Several cans of Kerosene
Colorful costumes and makeup
1 snow-covered clearing in the Cascade mountains
1 bottle of Maker's Mark whiskey
The result:

Beautiful. Capturing fire on film at nightfall is so alluring. Just as I can stare into fire or water for hours on end, I love photographs that capture these elements. I can stare at them just as long.

Photographing fire (and fire dancers) is a huge challenge, and it was quite possibly the most fun I've ever had on a shoot. Ever.
