Bio
Born and raised in Switzerland, I got into photography when I was 16, on my first
solo (without parents) trip through Europe. My older sister had given me her
ancient SLR Minolta camera, and seeing the world through that small rectangle of a
viewfinder somehow changed things.
I did stints in Oxford, England, and Antigua, Guatemala, to get an in-depth education
in English and Spanish - mostly though it was a feeble excuse to leave the Continent
and see new cultures. That one time I jumped off a 330 foot bridge in France, only
attached to a frayed bungy cord, however had very little to do with the thirst for
education and more with the quest for adrenaline.
Later, I captured Italy, Spain, Greece, France, England, and the U.S. with
that camera, until it suffered a tragically wet death during a torrential rain storm in
a whitewater rafting camp in West Virginia.
Ever since that summer, a Canon (SLR or digital) has always been my faithful companion,
accompanying me on adventures to places like Baja, Mainland Mexico, Guatemala, Belize,
Burning Man, and even once on a turbulent sailing trip from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas.
After moving to the U.S. in 1992, I tested the waters in a mid-sized photo stock agency
(now merged with a larger company) and a tech book publishing company
in the Bay Area. In 2002, I came to Bend, Oregon, fell in love with the area, and ended up moving here.
That year, I decided to take the plunge and go pro with my photography.
Today I'm fully committed to bringing only the most stunning imagery to my clients.
